Clinicom Elects Dominic Barakat to Its Board of Directors

Clinicom today announced that Dominic Barakat has been elected to its Board of Directors. Barakat has already served as a strategic advisor to Clinicom, and his election to the board reflects the growing strategic value of that relationship as Clinicom scales its behavioral health assessment platform across healthcare systems.

Clinicom on identifying behavioral health needs accurately and early

Barakat is a strategic advisor and investor with a strong background in healthcare finance, corporate development, and growth strategy. He brings deep experience working with healthcare organizations to improve operational efficiency, scale services, and navigate complex financial environments.

He currently serves as Head of Corporate Development at Nirvana, where he focuses on advancing technology solutions that streamline healthcare operations and improve access to care. Previously, Barakat held senior leadership roles in healthcare corporate finance, including Managing Director positions advising organizations on capital strategy, growth initiatives, and market expansion. His work has consistently centered on aligning financial performance with improved patient outcomes.

On the Clinicom board, Barakat will continue to provide strategic guidance on growth, partnerships, and market expansion, drawing on the same focus that has defined his advisory work: making mental health assessment more accessible, efficient, and scalable across healthcare systems.

Leadership Behind the Initiative

“Clinicom is addressing one of the most persistent challenges in healthcare, identifying behavioral health needs accurately and early, and doing it in a way that scales. I am honored to join the board and to help guide the company's growth, partnerships, and expansion into new markets.”

Dominic Barakat, Clinicom Advisory Board Member

Making mental health assessment more accessible, efficient, and scalable across healthcare systems

“Dominic is one of those rare people who can see both the numbers and the mission at the same time, and never loses sight of either. What I appreciate most is that he asks the hard questions, the ones that make our strategy sharper, and he asks them because he genuinely cares about where this company is going and who we are helping. He has been in our corner as an advisor for a while now, and honestly, it already felt like he was part of the family. Making it official on the board is something we are truly excited about.”

Michael Horning, Chief Executive Officer, Clinicom
